The gentle approach

Less force, fewer chemicals, longer enjoyment.

The guidance below is intentionally conservative and suitable for many decorative Fiastra objects. If the product page, label or manual gives different instructions, those product-specific instructions take priority.

Dust

Use a soft, clean and dry microfibre cloth for regular dusting.

Wipe

For light marks, use a slightly damp cloth and dry the surface immediately.

Protect

Keep away from open flame, strong heat, prolonged direct sunlight and abrasive surfaces.

Store

When not in use, clean the item, let it dry fully and store it without pressure on delicate parts.

A calm routine protects the finish.

Cleaning the surface

Do not use scouring pads, abrasive powders, solvents, acetone, bleach or aggressive household cleaners. These can dull the colour, mark the coating or change the surface texture.

Do not place a Fiastra object in the dishwasher unless the product information explicitly says it is dishwasher safe. Avoid soaking assembled pieces and do not expose them to boiling water.

Unplug before cleaning. Keep liquids away from the fitting, cable, switch and bulb holder.

Can I use an all-purpose cleaner?

We recommend a soft dry cloth first and a slightly damp cloth when needed. Avoid chemical cleaners unless the product-specific instructions explicitly allow them.

Can Fiastra pieces go in the dishwasher?

Only when the product information explicitly says so. Otherwise, keep the item out of the dishwasher and avoid soaking it.

Can I leave the product outdoors?

Do not treat decorative indoor products as permanently weatherproof unless the product page specifically confirms outdoor suitability.

How should I care for a table lamp?

Disconnect it from power, allow the bulb to cool and clean only the exterior with a dry cloth. Never allow liquid near electrical components.

What should I do if the finish becomes damaged?
